Steve Brew is the Honorary Historian for 41 Squadron RAF and has been researching the unit and its service personnel for over two decades. He has published three earlier volumes on the Squadron's World War II history, A Ruddy Awful Waste (2016), Blood, Sweat and Courage (2014), and Blood, Sweat and Valour (2012). Born in Australia, he lived and worked in Canada, Switzerland, Germany and England.
